of it. The event began with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp

in his welcome address, said that in any event, participation and
the sportsman's spirit is all the more important.

on a rather wet note as it rained heavily on the inaugural day.

But this however did
not dampen the spirits of the teams. Every participant gave in his/her
best whether it rained or shone! |
|
| |
The Valedictory function was presided
by Shri Ashok Pingle, Mayor, Bilaspur, who addressed the gathering
with an inspiring speech. While the four days had witnessed a series
of winners in all the events, the much awaited moment was still,
the final ceremony where the Championship winners would be announced!
The Champions, by a narrow margin was St. Xavier's School, Jaipur
while Center point School, Katol, Nagpur with their consistent efforts
bagged the award as the First Runners Up. J.H Ambani School, Nagothane
stood second Runners Up. |

Mr Pingle's words
inspired all and made each one think about the state of sports and
how to work towards its betterment. The hard work and commitment
displayed by Team TJIS was of course in a big way responsible for
the success of the swimming meet. Once again, teamwork played its
role in setting another standard of sorts at TJIS, Bilaspur! |
