Each of the Multi Storied International Boarding Houses accommodates
about 60 students on each floor. They are designed as homes, not
hostels. Each storey has its own comfortably furnished common rooms
with entertainment facilities and ample space for socializing. There
are no old fashioned dormitories. Each fully air conditioned study
bedroom is occupied by four students, and has WI FI connectivity
for their IT requirements so that Anytime Any where learning can
take place in the comfort of home. Both the bedrooms and common
rooms can be personalized with favorite material by the students.
Each International Boarding House is supervised by an experienced
residential Senior House Master who is assisted by other Matrons/Wardens
on to each floor. All students, whether boarders or day boarders
belong to a small Mentor Group led by a Faculty Mentor who has responsibility
for their personal welfare and academic progress. The professional
counselors complete the pastoral team.
Religious Life
Though The Jain International School, Bilaspur
is a nonsectarian school we regard each student's spiritual growth
as being of equal importance with his intellectual, emotional, physical
and social development. Each individual has the freedom to practice
his religion within the framework of understanding, respect and
tolerance for the beliefs of others.
The Lifestyle
There is never a dull moment in TJIS. The students
are either busy with their studies or actively involved in co-curricular
activities or sports. Every aspect of a student's need is taken
care at TJIS. There are quite a lot of leisure time activities that
they can pursue like; some indoor and outdoor sports, reading room,
recreation lounge, internet and so on.
Food
There is a gracious and orderly atmosphere that pervades the dinning
hall as students take their seats before meals, beginning with prayers.
The menu includes a variety of mouth- watering dishes - North Indian,
South Indian, Continental and Chinese cuisines, chaats and pizzas
followed by an elaborate spread of deserts.
The food served is pure vegetarian sourced from different parts
of the country and abroad. There is a large assortment of dishes
on the menu and efforts are made to ensure that no dish repeats
over in fortnight.
The School Dress Code
The purpose of a dress code is to help maintain an atmosphere conducive
to learning, teaching and prevent unnecessary distractions on campus.
Students of the school are expected to be well groomed and neatly
dressed at all times. |
