"The battle of Waterloo was won on the playing fields of Eton"
An excellent starting point for a classroom discussion on the nature of education! However there can be no debate about the fact that sports not only frees the spirit but also develop character and leadership. At TJIS the student who aspires to be a professional competitor or performer and she/he who simply enjoys participating, both receive appropriate support. Children at TJIS take part in sports for enjoyment, relaxation and exercise, as an aid to their educational development and the formation of their sense of self-worth. Coaching is available six days a week from faculty who are outstanding practitioners of their own disciplines. In competitions, we try and identify ourselves to our Model sporting stars. Everybody who represents TJIS is seen as an ambassador of the school.
STARS GALORE IN TJIS SKY………….
The fourth annual sports meet at TJIS was concluded on 20th Dec 2007. It was a great time to witness the physical strength and skills displayed by the students. The inauguration ceremony of the meet was held on 19th Dec 2007. The chief guest who illuminated the arena with his gracious presence was Mr Sanjay Mishra an ace Badminton Champion. He was greeted by the School Cavalry, which left the spectators spellbound.. He expressed his best wishes to the budding sportspersons. After the formal announcement of the 4th annual sports meet open, the spectators witnessed a crisp march past by the four Houses, namely GUNJAN, JHANKAR, KALARAV and NINAD.
This was the first time when our school Band played for the first time, and what a pleasure it was!!!
And then came the time for these little stars to proliferate the skies with their shine. It was a splendid moment to be an eyewitness to some of the exemplary display of athletics, acrobats and of course cultural display. Many sporting events ranging from Track and field events to tug of war and also games for parents were organized. It is no exception to say that we have been witnesses to P.T. Usha , Milkha Singh and like in the making.
The Jain International School has always believed in the potential of the Youth, and hence have been making conscious efforts to steer them into accruing of holistic personality traits.
The fourth annual sports meet concluded on the 20th dec 2007 amidst superb exhibition of fire works that illuminated the skies and beneath we witnessed the rising stars scattering and illuminating the lithosphere and trying to touch the sky for it is rightly said“Sky is the limit”
